Welcome to the site
This is the first entry for what I hope will be a site you will frequently visit. You must have noticed that this page is non-static and I plan to regularly add to it topics which may be of interest to women and their families. My name is Aida and I work as an Independent Midwife in the south of England. While there is a page dedicated to my midwifery practice, this site aims to present a more holistic view on an eclectic range of issues. This idea was born from my initial wish to have a website designed for my independent midwifery practice. It was decided that rather than having a static site solely dedicated to my independent midwifery practice, it would be far more beneficial to take advantage of the information sharing potential of this website by exploring issues which affect women globally.
If you have arrived to this site because you are investigating the prospect of having an Independent Midwife care for you during your pregnancy, hopefully this site will enable you to learn a bit more of Aida, the person. Childbirthing is a remarkable, life changing experience and understandably you will want to ensure that you choose the right midwife for this journey.
